Zero Tolerance Policy – Respectful Behaviour
At Theatre Royal Surgery, we are committed to providing a safe, supportive and respectful environment for both patients and staff.
We understand that accessing healthcare can sometimes be stressful and that patients may occasionally feel frustrated. We welcome feedback and are always happy to listen to concerns. However, abusive, aggressive, threatening or disrespectful behaviour towards our staff or other patients will not be tolerated.
This includes verbal abuse, intimidation, harassment, discrimination, threats, or inappropriate behaviour, whether in person, over the telephone, online or through social media.
Our team comes to work each day to support patients and provide the best possible care. They deserve to be treated with courtesy, patience and respect at all times.
Incidents of unacceptable behaviour may be recorded and managed in line with NHS guidance and practice policies. Depending on the nature and severity of the incident, this may result in formal warnings, referral to the police, or removal from the practice list where appropriate.
By working together respectfully, we can help ensure a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.
Thank you for your support.
