Routine & Urgent appointments
You can request a routine or an urgent appointment during opening times.
You can also:
- Call the practice on 01362 852800 and select Option 1.
When you get in touch, Andi our virtual assistant will ask what you need help with. Please provide as much information as you can about your symptoms or concerns. It’s important you do this as we will use your answers to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or healthcare professional to help you.
What happens next?
All requests submitted online or by telephone are reviewed using the same process.
The information you provide helps us understand the urgency of your request and allows us to direct you to the most appropriate clinician, service or advice.
When to seek emergency help

Enhanced access
We offer additional appointments outside our usual opening hours, including selected evening and weekend appointments.

Appointments by phone, video call or by text or email can be more flexible and often means you get help sooner.
Transport
Community car
For transport to medical appointments, The Dereham Community Car Scheme is sponsored by Breckland Council and Dereham Town Council and is available only to those people who live in the parish of Dereham (including Toftwood) and who satisfy certain conditions such as being unable to make essential journeys by public or private hire transport.
The organiser can be contacted on 07827 972163 between 9am and 1pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays (messages cannot be left).
Further queries about the scheme can be answered by Dereham Town Council at the Assembly Rooms, Ruthen Place, Dereham, NR19 2TX or phone 01362 693821.
Transport plus is a community car scheme that covers the majority of Norfolk.
Hospital transport
Eligibility for hospital transport is based purely on clinical need – this is generally assessed by the hospital whom you are being referred to or the transport provider.
Hospital transport is provided by ERS medical.
