Our Commitment to the Sexual Safety Charter

At Theatre Royal Surgery, we are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for every member of our team and every person who enters our practice.

We are proud to confirm that we fully adhere to the NHS Sexual Safety Charter and are actively implementing all ten commitments within it.

By following the Charter, we:

  • Take a zero‑tolerance approach to sexual harassment, abuse, and inappropriate behaviour.
  • Promote a workplace culture built on respect, openness, and transparency.
  • Recognise that some individuals may be more vulnerable and ensure our response is inclusive and intersectional.
  • Provide clear and accessible support pathways for anyone affected by inappropriate or harmful behaviour.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date policies, procedures, and training to prevent harm.
  • Ensure staff have safe, confidential reporting routes and that every concern is taken seriously.
  • Review data and staff experience to ensure continual learning and improvement.

Everyone at Theatre Royal Surgery deserves to feel safe, valued, and protected.

Our commitment to the Sexual Safety Charter reflects our dedication to maintaining a workplace where unacceptable behaviour has no place and where every concern is met with timely, appropriate action.

If you have any concerns or need support, please speak to our management or safeguarding leads.
