Home Visits
Home visits are intended only for patients who are unable, because of their medical condition, to attend the practice. Where possible, a home visit should be requested by calling 01362 852800 before 10:30.
If it is a genuine medical emergency, please dial 999, rather than request a home visit.
We prefer patients to come to the surgery for assessment where we have better facilities and diagnostic equipment. We do not normally visit children with minor illnesses.
Lack of transport to the surgery is not an appropriate reason for requesting a home visit. Please consider using the Dereham Community Car Scheme by calling 07827 972163 between 09:00-13:00 on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
Patients are asked to bear in mind that the doctor can see and treat several patients in the practice, in the same time that it takes to carry out one home visit.
In light of the COVID-19 Pandemic we kindly request that you adhere to the following when expecting a home visit from one of our clinicians:
- Please ensure that face covering is worn at all times.
- Please open a window to allow good ventilation of your property.
- Where possible, please limit friends/relatives in the property at the time of the visit to one person who will also be wearing a mask.
Thank you for your understanding.
