CCG Treatment Policies

Our practice is part of the South Norfolk Clinical Commissioning Group (SNCCG).  We are required to adhere to the CCG policies on treatment and prescribing.  This means that from time to time patients may have their medication changed to less expensive products that the CCG deems will provide the same efficacy.

It also means that the CCG may decide that certain forms of treatment are too expensive for them to commission on the NHS.  Sometimes it is possible to make exceptions but this requires the CCG to make a decision based on an 'exceptional/individual funding request' request.
