Patients may be invited to come into the surgery to meet with either a GP, Pharmacy Advisor or Dispenser in order to review because:
- you have had the agreed number of repeat orders of your medication and may need, for example, a blood pressure check or blood test before your repeat can be reauthorised.
- South Norfolk Clinical Commissioning Group may have recommended that your medication be changed from a branded item to a generic medicine or from one type to another and this will require their Pharmacist or your GP to discuss this with you.
- as part of the Dispensing Services Quality Scheme we invite selected patients for an annual review of their repeat medicines. This gives patients the opportunity to highlight any problems with their regime - as an example, you may find it easier to take a soluble version of a particular tablet, rather than a capsule or you may have found that some of the medicines give you side effects such as headache or nausea. Our trained member of staff will be able to talk with you about this and you'll have the opportunity of a longer appointment than you would normally get with your GP.
